Do I have to take monitoring?
No. The system will still alert your phone without it. Monitoring is what adds a person at the other end when the alarm goes off and you are not looking at your phone, which is most of the time an alarm goes off.
Can I keep the equipment I already have?
Sometimes. Some existing sensors and cabling can be reused, some cannot. We will tell you which on the site visit rather than after the invoice.
How long does an installation take?
Most homes are a single visit. Larger properties and commercial sites depend on the cabling and the camera count, and we will give you the honest number before you book.
Does it work if the power or internet goes out?
The panel has backup power, and monitored systems have a communication path that does not depend on your home broadband. We will walk you through exactly what happens in an outage.
What happens with a false alarm?
You call the number and cancel it. If it keeps happening, that is a system problem, not a you problem. Tell us and we will come back and fix the sensor placement.
